CEO: Stephanie Harkness
Designing smart strategies for growth and constructing corporate cultures that pave the way to success, Stephanie Harkness built Pacific Plastics & Engineering into the tenth largest woman-owned company in the Bay Area. Founder and CEO of PP&E, Stephanie has received San Jose Business Journal's "Largest Woman-Owned Business" award six times (1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2005). Before founding this company, she owned other businesses and served in executive management positions in sales and marketing.
COO: Jack Harkness, P.E.
With an infallible eye for detail and keen understanding for engineering processes, COO and co-founder Jack Harkness manages all of PP&E operations: engineering, quality, production and materials. Working closely with all personnel, Jack ensures complete project fulfillment and customer satisfaction. Previous to PP&E, Jack worked with General Electric-Nuclear Energy Division, where he focused on Quality Assurance, ASME Code Compliance and manufacturing consulting within GE. Jack is a registered Professional Engineer in California.
Sales Manager: Tom Star
Having worked in the plastic and sheet metal industry for seven years, PP&E Technical Sales Manager Tom Star brings a wealth of knowledge to the company. As the Sales manager, Tom is very well versed in global account management that specializes in matching customer needs with the best possible manufacturing solutions. Tom fulfills customer needs by offering rapid deployment, strategic prototype, production planning and implementation, product design support and cost mapping.
Project Manager: Dick Jones, MSEE
A seasoned entrepreneur and business professional, Dick brings over 20 years of engineering expertise as PP&E's Product Manager. Dick excels at leading cutting-edge technology concepts to effective product design and production. His model of customer-driven, solution-oriented management experience is enhanced with experiences from 15 years of entrepreneurial leadership outside of the engineering field. These qualities make Dick an integral leader of the PP&E Engineering Team.
Product Development Manager: Nathan Maier
With over 10 years of experience in medical device product development, Nathan brings extensive insight to new product development, particularly VC-funded startup projects with design and production needs. His main concentration is on implantables, pharmaceutically loaded devices and surgical tooling for Class II and Class III FDA approvals. Nathan's vast understanding of medical devices, along with his background in biology and portfolio of success stories are of great benefit to PP&E and customer teams.
Manufacturing Manager: Joe Brongiel
Bringing more than 25 years experience managing manufacturing operations, Joe understands what PP&E customers need and delivers on those needs with precision and accuracy every time. As Manager of PP&E's Manufacturing Group, Joe is responsible for all production and assembly, ensuring product quality and on-time delivery. Having worked as Operations Manager for Trend Technologies for 25 years, Joe has 35 years experience in manufacturing and injection molding, possessing finely honed technical competence and production know-how.
Director of Quality & Regulatory Affairs: Yolanda Montes O'Grady
Yolanda is a quality control expert with more than 25 years experience in the design, development, training, implementation and maintenance of ISO 9000 quality management systems. She is also experienced with IPC and ESD programs primarily in the defense industry, semiconductor and capital equipment business. Highly trained in the assessment of the performance and implementation of the ISO 13485:2003 quality systems Medical Device Standard, ASQ's 602QSR MD, as well as the FDA regulations for medical devices.
Controller: Dwight Herrington
Bringing almost 30 years of accounting and financial management experience to PP&E, Dwight Herrington offers impressive financial expertise and analysis know-how to manage our high-growth business. Dwight assists in the building of solid relationships with banks, vendors and our CPA firm.
